PLANTATION, Fla. – A crash Monday morning involving a U-Haul truck shut down a portion of Pine Island Road in Plantation, authorities said.
The crash was reported shortly before 9:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Pine Island Road.

Plantation Fire Department officials said the U-Haul truck crashed into another truck and a tree.
Three people were extricated from the vehicle.
Authorities said one person was taken to Broward Health Medical Center as a trauma alert.
Northbound lanes of Pine Island Road were shut down in the area after the crash.
No other details were immediately released.
