DAVIE, Fla. – All lanes of University Drive were closed in the 1900 block Wednesday afternoon because of a gas leak.
Sky 10 was above the scene as firefighters were digging a hole in the grass near a sidewalk.

A hazardous materials crew was working to cap the leak.
Davie firefighters said a shopping center across the street was evacuated as a precaution.
After the leak was capped in the afternoon, all lanes were reopened.
