MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A fatal crash Thursday closed the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 near Florida's Turnpike in Miami-Dade County.
The crash involving a pickup truck and an SUV occurred shortly after noon, just south of Miramar Parkway.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said one person was killed and another person was being airlifted to a hospital.
Traffic was backed up for miles as a result of the crash.
