FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The internet connection at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport caused went down Wednesday night, causing headaches for travelers.
A contractor working on a new terminal at the airport drilled into the main internet line, an airport spokesman said.
Some airline check-in kiosks were affected by the outage.
Traffic was also backed up in parking garages because the outage also affected pay systems.
The airport's internet was fully restored early Thursday.
