The tornado that tore through Western Wisconsin on May 16 is one of the longest tracked tornadoes to ever occur in Wisconsin, according to a National Weather Service report.
The tornado, which killed one person and injured 25, touched down at 5:42 p.m. CT and was on the ground until 7:06 p.m. CT, traveling 83 miles.
The National Weather Service said the tornado reached EF-3 strength, with winds around 140 mph, near the Village of Conrath in Rusk County.
The storm caused about $10 million in damage across four counties, according to WCCO TV.
