PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – Gov. Ron DeSantis told Floridians to remain vigilant as Hurricane Dorian appears to pose less of a threat to the state than initially forecast.
The latest forecast track calls for the powerful Category 4 storm to hug Florida's east coast.

Still, the governor said the forecast could change at any time.
"Continue to make preparations and, you know, we will hope that, you know, the trend continues, but there is still significant chance of a strike on the state of Florida," DeSantis said during a news conference Saturday in Tallahassee.
DeSantis said there is still the possibility of significant storm surge and major flooding throughout the state.
"Anyone inside that (forecast) cone needs to be prepared," DeSantis said.
The governor said "a little bit of a movement to the west and, all of a sudden, we're looking at a much different scenario."
"What we've tried to do here is just be very factual, be very direct with people," DeSantis said. "You know, we haven't tried to overreact."
DeSantis said the Florida Highway Patrol provided escorts for tanker trucks carrying gas to South Florida, where the demand for gas was outweighing supply.
"So I think the situation will likely be improved," he said.
