May 31: Warm, wet end to weekend

Lots of tropical moisture sitting over South Florida will combine with daytime heating to trigger scattered showers and t’storms each day through midweek. It’ll heat up into the lower 90s each day before those cooling storms arrive in the afternoon with some computer models forecasting over 4” of rain between today and Wednesday.

We don’t see cold fronts very often in early June but there’s a chance for a front and drier air arriving later in the week which could knock our highs down into the middle 80s with a few days of relatively lower humidity by Thursday and Friday. Don’t forget hurricane season begins tomorrow although there’s nothing in the tropics to be concerned about yet. Be prepared for the season!
