June 19: Showers and storms

Showers and storms will soak parts of South Florida Friday evening. While far west Miami-Dade County and the Everglades are likely to be targets for active weather, Palm Beach and Broward counties should stay weather aware as the night unfolds because there is a marginal severe thunderstorm risk. The main threat would be damaging winds.

Saturday and Sunday will be hot, humid and, perhaps, a touch hazy at times. A mix of sun and clouds will be the general rule each day with the possibility of scattered showers and storms, particularly during the afternoon. Temperatures will make a run for the low 90s — humidity will make it feel like the triple digits.
