June 25: Few strong thunderstorms expected to develop early this afternoon

It’s another hotter than average day with temperatures in the low to middle 90s. Factor in the high humidity and the heat index will soar to 100°-105°. A few thunderstorms will develop to help cool us down, but they will be very hit or miss. Not everyone will get the rain. The storms that develop could be severe with damaging wind gusts, small hail and frequent lightning. Expect similar weather over the next few days.

Into the weekend, the heat will carry on with just a few thunderstorms each day. The majority of the weekend will be dry. There is not a noticeable bump in rain chances until Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
