June 26: Another hot, humid day with afternoon storms expected

Happy Friday! Get ready for another hot, humid day. High temperatures will be in the mid-90s, but heat indices will reach 100-106 plus degrees. Afternoon storms are expected with the development of the sea breeze. These showers and storms will be isolated and push inland so much of the metro, coastal areas will stay dry and very hot. A southeast wind direction has helped push in a plume of Saharan dust. This last weekend of June expect Saharan dust to provide for limited rain chances with hazy sunrises and sunsets.
