A Heat Advisory is in effect for South Florida with a heat index soaring to 105°-110° this afternoon. Saharan dust from the deserts of Africa blew across the Atlantic and moved in yesterday. This will give us a hazy sky and limit our rain chances. Most will stay completely dry today.
A weak disturbance in the upper levels of the atmosphere will move in Friday, which will work to overpower the dry air and give us scattered showers and thunderstorms. They could even linger into Saturday morning, but after that, the drier than usual weather returns for the rest of the weekend.
