Today marks the 40th day in a row with temperatures 91° or higher, which is the longest streak ever recorded in Miami. Don’t count on the rain to cool you off with nearly everyone dry today. By Wednesday morning, we will have a few speedy showers off the Atlantic. This rain will not be enough to help with the moderate to severe drought that continues to get worse.
Tropical Storm Bertha is spinning in the Gulf just south of the Florida Panhandle. The worst of it will stay over the open water, but very windy conditions with some occasional rain bands are expected on the northern Gulf Coast. Some water rise of 2-4 feet is also likely there. No effects are expected in South Florida.
