South Florida remains situated between Tropical Storm Bertha in the northern Gulf and an area of high pressure in the Atlantic. This will keep a persistent southeast wind around through midweek as drier air keeps rain chances low. Temperatures are heating up quickly into the afternoon as highs returns to the lower 90s with heat indices in the triple digits. A lower storm chance today will keep conditions very warm into the evening with overnight temperatures in the lower 80s under a partly cloudy sky. Some coastal showers could arrive by Wednesday morning which may impact your morning commute. Showers and storms will then move inland into the afternoon, with highs remaining in the lower 90s.
