We will have a few quick showers moving through today, but there will still be plenty of dry time. High temperatures will reach the low/mid 90s with a heat index up to 105° since there will still be plenty of sunshine. Today is a transition day into a much wetter weather pattern.
We’re not expecting a washout this weekend, but a shift in our winds from the Everglades (southwest) will shift the thunderstorm zone over the metro area of Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Numerous daily showers and thunderstorms are expected to bring drought relief, especially in the afternoons. This pattern will last well into next week.
