July 27: Strong thunderstorms expected to rumble through South Florida today

High moisture and heat in the 90s will fuel another round of thunderstorms into this afternoon. Some storms could be strong or briefly severe with damaging wind gusts, frequent lightning and very heavy rain. It will be quieter this evening.

We will have at least some showers and thunderstorms each day this week, but there will be fewer of them. Rain chances fall as slightly drier air moves in for the rest of the week. So not completely dry, but plenty of sunny weather throughout the day. This will mean hotter than average temperatures in the middle 90s.
