July 31: August to open hot with a chance for storms

As Friday night unfolds, lingering showers and storms over South Florida will fade, leaving mostly to partly cloudy skies for Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

Saturday will feature a sun/cloud mix with the possibility of afternoon showers and storms.

A touch of Saharan dust could reach the area on Sunday and bring a hazy hue to the sun/cloud mix. There may be spotty, morning showers, followed by scattered showers and storms during the afternoon.

Temperatures will make a run for the low and mid 90s this weekend -- factor in humidity and it will feel like 100°F+.
