Many of us will get chased indoors by showers and storms today so keep an eye to the sky and get to a safe place when you see lightning and hear thunder, even if it’s in the distance.

Lots of tropical moisture covers South Floria and daytime heating will trigger that moisture into heavy downpours in spots.

We’re under a marginal threat (level 1 out of 4) of flooding today so street flooding is possible especially in those poor drainage neighborhoods.

Highs will make it into the lower 90s despite the clouds and storms around. Keep the umbrellas handy as these storms could hit anytime this morning, afternoon, or evening.

A wet pattern will settle in through at least midweek so hopefully we’ll put a bit of a dent in our drought. All, for now, is quiet in the tropics.
