Miami-Dade homicide detectives are investigating the death of Edwin Fernandez, a Doral Police Department school resource officer, found dead in a patrol car on Wednesday morning in Redland, according to sources familiar with the case.

A spotty shower or two could dampen parts of South Florida or the Keys Wednesday night. Otherwise, clouds linger over Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

Thursday will feature a sun/cloud mix with the possibility for “here/there” showers and storms, particularly during the morning and early afternoon for Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Near seasonable temperatures are forecast, lows in the upper 70s and highs around 90°F.
