A disturbance over the Bahamas is headed this way and will increase our chances for showers and t’storms the next few days. Our best rain chances will be in the morning and midday today and tomorrow before shifting back to the typical afternoon storm chances by the weekend. Highs will run near normal for early August, hovering right around 90 degrees, but the humidity will still make it feel like it’s in the lower 100s. Computer models indicate some drier air and Saharan dust arriving later in the weekend into most of next week, so we’re taking those rain chances down to a little below normal by early next week. Otherwise it’s a typical late summer forecast so stay cool and hydrated and watch out for some of those passing showers & storms. All remains quiet in the tropics through the next 5-7 days.
