Outside of a few scattered showers in the morning hours Saturday and Sunday, the forecast is pretty dry this weekend. An easterly flow will keep most of the showers and storms over toward the west coast, so if you have any last-minute back-to-school errands to run, the weather should cooperate.
Back-to-school weather will feature a chance of mainly morning showers again on Monday, but a drier-than-normal week is in store, with rain chances only around 20% to 30% each day. Temperatures will be typically hot for August, however, with highs in the lower to middle 90s each day.
If you’re headed to the beach this weekend, be advised that there’s a rip current advisory in effect, so only swim at guarded beaches and don’t go in too deep.
All remains quiet in the tropics for now.
