Aug. 23: Storms move out tonight as heat and more showers return Monday

Showers and storms are moving eastward this evening. As the sun sets, storms will diminish, and dry weather will take over tonight, with lows in the upper 70s and lower 80s.

Plan for another round of sea-breeze showers and storms Monday afternoon. Some storms could bring gusty winds and pockets of heavy rainfall. Before storms arrive, it will be toasty, with highs reaching the lower 90s. It could feel like 100 to 105 degrees by the afternoon.

Regardless of whether we are under a heat advisory, be sure to take plenty of breaks from the heat and stay hydrated.
