Miami-Dade and Broward can expect partly cloudy skies as a partial lunar eclipse begins to unfold after 9 p.m. The eclipse will peak at 12:12 a.m. Friday, when 96% of the moon passes into Earth’s shadow. The moon could take on a reddish hue.
Friday will feature sunshine, scattered clouds and light east-southeast winds. There may be a few showers around in the morning, followed by “pop-up” storms over inland areas during the afternoon. Indeed, it will be another hot day. Temperatures are forecast to reach the low 90s, with heat indexes topping 100 degrees.
