PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — Weather permitting, we should have a great view of Thursday night’s partial lunar eclipse.
Head to the beach and look to the east-southeast to see the moon rise and the beginning of the eclipse at 9:24 p.m. Then track the moon and the eclipse as it moves west overnight, peaking at 12:12 a.m.
The eclipse ends at 3:01 a.m.
Even though the moon will take on a reddish tint, you don’t need to take any safety precautions when viewing -- just sit back and enjoy as the Earth passes in between the sun and moon for a few hours.
Weather should be good for viewing, although it might be a little cloudy at the beginning.
