The news isn’t good as far as our holiday weekend forecast is concerned, with showers and storms likely each day. If you’re looking for some dry times for your outdoor activities, I’d plan on mornings being better than the afternoon hours through the weekend.
Although no widespread severe weather is expected, I do expect several inches of rain under some of the heavier storms, mainly between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday through Labor Day. We’ll see highs getting into the lower 90s each day before those afternoon storms roll in.
It’ll be tough to squeeze those backyard barbecues in this weekend, but hopefully, you’ll be able to enjoy some of that dry time in the morning.
We’re coming up on the statistical peak of hurricane season next week, but all is quiet in the tropics through the next seven days.
