Broward County curfew for Hurricane Irma to end at 10 a.m. Monday

Conditions too dangerous for deputies to be on streets

PLANTATION, Fla. – Broward County's curfew will be lifted at 10 a.m. Monday.

The curfew was put in place at 4 p.m. Saturday because of the threat of Hurricane Irma.

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies in areas experiencing sustained winds of 45 mph are not conducting regular patrol for safety reasons.

All 911 calls are being evaluated by emergency and weather conditions.

Deputies report no storm-related arrests.

According to Florida Power & Light, there are less than 10 downed power lines in Broward County, mostly in the southern portion of the county.
