Under the proposal, the second quarter would be moved to Oct. 30 and the start of the third quarter would be moved to Jan. 16.Ā

The school board will discuss the changes during a meeting Tuesday.Ā

If the changes are approved, the district would be in compliance with the state's requirements for instructional hours for the school year despite the days lost to Irma.Ā

No changes are proposed to winter break, spring break or the last day of school.Ā
