Tornadoes cause some damage during Tropical Storm Philippe

Palm Beach, Miami-Dade residents report some property damage

MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – Miami-Dade residents were still cleaning up after the storm Sunday evening. 

During Tropical Storm Philippe, a couple of tornadoes caused some damage in areas of Miami-Dade and Palm Beach Saturday, but no one was injured. 

In Southwest Miami-Dade, there were downed trees and a home was damaged. In West Miami-Dade, a few cars and fences were damaged. And in Palm Beach, mobile homes shook and roofs collapsed. 

Philippe moved over South Florida and away from land to the Atlantic Ocean.
