Scruby’s BBQ closes its doors in Pembroke Pines

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Scruby’s BBQ in Pembroke Pines is closing its doors after nearly 30 years in business.

The restaurant, known for its baby back ribs, on University Drive north of Pines Boulevard, closed quietly over the weekend.

According to posts on social media, the business is holding a liquidation sale beginning at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to the Scruby’s BBQ website, the restaurant first opened in 1995. It specialized in open pit barbecue.
