Security guards eventually intervened and kicked the two men out of the bar.

Deputies said the men waited for McClendon to leave and Fletcher fired at him in the parking lot. McClendon ran but was eventually shot in the back while Fletcher was chasing him.

McClendon was taken to Broward Health Medical Center where he underwent surgery.

Fletcher has been arrested five times in Broward County since 2010. Some of his past charges include battery, possession of cannabis, burglary and resisting arrest with violence.

Deputies said they are still looking for Fletcher's accomplice. He is described as a black man who is about 5 feet 9 inches tall, has low-cut hair, and was wearing all black with a red hat the night of the shooting.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A $3,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
