FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A woman died after she was found shot Sunday night outside a home in Fort Lauderdale.
The shooting occurred about 7:30 p.m. at a home on Northwest Third Avenue.
Fort Lauderdale police Detective DeAnna Greenlaw said officers arrived and found the woman, identified as Lakendra Jones, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Jones was taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Greenlaw said detectives are investigating to determine where the shooting took place.
