Tesfa Wright handcuffs, fatally shoots Hayden Randolph inside Miramar home, police say

Neighbor calls 911 after hearing 8 gunshots

MIRAMAR, Fla. – A man handcuffed and fatally shot another man inside the suspect's Miramar home Monday night, police said.

Tesfa Wright, 36, faces a premeditated murder charge in the fatal shooting of Hayden Randolph.

The shooting occurred about 8:15 p.m. at a home in the 2000 block of Southwest 67th Lane.

A neighbor said he heard eight gunshots and called 911.

"I counted them -- pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop -- and that's when I grabbed my wife and myself and went inside," the man, who asked not to be identified, told Local 10 News.

Miramar police spokeswoman Tania Rues said officers arrived and found Randolph lying on the floor, bound in handcuffs. The Hollywood man had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rues said when officers questioned Wright, he initially told them, "That guy was robbing me and I shot him." Rues said Wright later claimed that he and Randolph, an acquaintance, had gotten into an argument that led to the shooting.
