Police said the homeowner heard the culprits entering the home through the back patio area and called 911.

When officers arrived, they took Christopher Ferrera, 19, into custody and a perimeter was set up to find the other two burglars.

With the help of K-9 Units from Coral Gables and City of Miami police, a second teen, who is 15 years old, was apprehended.

Both teens were arrested on charges of occupied burglary and resisting arrest without violence. Ferrera also faces a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Police also found three bicycles in the area that are believed to be the means of transportation for the teens. The bikes were impounded as evidence.

It's unclear if anything was taken from the home.

Anyone with information about the third teen involved is asked to call Coral Gables police at 305-442-1600.
