2 killed in Hollywood murder-suicide, police say

Woman found dead early Monday morning at home with 2 children sleeping inside

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Two people are dead after a murder-suicide in Hollywood, police say.

Sky 10 was above the scene at 2620 Adams Street as multiple police units were outside a home collecting evidence.

According to a Hollywood police representative, a woman, identified as Lyndie Robert, 36, was found stabbed to death about 5:50 a.m. at an apartment in the 2700 block of Taft Street.

Police said two children were asleep in the home at the time and were unharmed.

Authorities said they received information about a possible suspect who was in the 2600 block of Adams Street about 8:45 a.m.

Police said the the suspect, identified as Roude Robert, 43, was in a car. They said he got out and ran from officers before taking his own life. A gun was found near his body in the driveway of a home.

Police said the suspect and victim were an estranged married couple. They said Roude Robert threatened extended family members at the home where he was found.

The children are now in the care of family members.
