2 men wanted for questioning in Lauderhill shooting

Man shot in neck during attempted robbery at Gardens of Lauderhill

LAUDERHILL, Fla. ā€“ Police are trying to identify two men wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting during a robbery attempt in Lauderhill last month.

The attempted robbery and shooting occurred Aug. 24 in the parking lot of the Gardens of Lauderhill apartments on Northwest 26th Street.

Lauderhill police Maj. Rick Rocco said two men were congregated in the parking lot when two other men approached and tried to rob them at gunpoint.

During the robbery attempt, one of the gunmen opened fire, wounding a victim in the neck. The victim was treated at a hospital and released.

The would-be robbers ran off after the shooting.

Tuesday, police released surveillance video from security cameras that shows two people of interest walking through the apartment complex prior to the shooting. It also shows a white car speeding off after the shooting.
