Opa-locka police officers responded to a Wells Fargo branch for a call about fraud, said city spokesman David Chiverton. The driver then tried running over an officer.

The driver fled the scene and ended up pulling over near the intersection of NW 44th St. and 16th Ave. in Miami.

After the car stopped, smoke began pouring out of the car and the grass underneath lit on fire.

Both are being held on more than $50,000 bond.
