Police: 3 break into McDonald's, steal cell phones, laptops, cash

MIAMI – Three men accused of breaking into a McDonald's in Miami were arrested Wednesday.

At about 3:40 a.m., Eddie Thomasiv threw a rock into the front glass door of the McDonald's while Leon Westbrook and Alex Westbrook entered the restaurant, located at 1016 West Flagler Street, and gathered all of the employees at gun point, police said.

The trio then took the employees' laptops, cell phones and an undisclosed amount of money.

They left the restaurant in a dark-colored Cadillac, which was spotted driving erratically moments later by a police officer, police said.

The officer then stopped the car and arrested the trio.
