4 armed robbers hit check cashing store near day care in Hialeah

Police say men fled in a black Chevy with the store's cash

HIALEAH, Fla. – Hialeah police were looking for the armed robbers who took an undisclosed amount of money from a check cashing store Wednesday.

The check cashing store is in the corner of West 29th Street and Second Avenue -- in a shopping mall where there is also a day care.

Hialeah Police Lt. Carl Zogby said witnesses told police the four men involved fled in a black Chevy.

The store also offers currency exchanges and wires to Cuba.

Police were asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-6160.
