Miami-Dade police say suspects wore tactical gear with police insignia

DORAL, Fla. – Five South Florida men accused of posing as police officers have been arrested.

Miami-Dade police the suspects were arrested Monday after they met at Concord Park and entered an awaiting vehicle, where detectives witnessed the men putting on tactical gear with police insignia.

One of the suspects, Edismer Arango, exited the vehicle and fastened a holster with a semi-automatic pistol in it.

Police conducted a traffic stop shortly after the suspects left the park.

The other suspects were identified as Lazaro Souchay, Miranda Carrero, Damian Rosello and Andres Nohaya.

They face several charges, including carrying a concealed firearm and loitering and prowling.
