DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – Eight people were hospitalized after a Broward County transit bus crossed over a median and struck a pickup truck, deputies said.
The accident happened Friday evening in the 2700 block of Sample Road near the Florida Turnpike in Deerfield Beach.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, the bus somehow jumped the median and struck a Ford F-150 pickup.
There were seven people on the bus, including the driver.
Deputies said all seven people and the truck driver were taken to hospitals in the area with non-life-threatening injuries. Deerfield Beach and Pompano Fire Rescue crews helped those hurt in the accident.
