FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Crews with the Florida Power & Light Company worked Wednesday night to fix a downed power line in the Las Olas area of Fort Lauderdale.
There were about 950 customers without power because of the downed power line, according to FPL.

Around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, FPL said there were about 280 customers who still did not have power.
FPL said power would be restored to everyone between 11 p.m. and midnight.
It is not known what caused the incident to occur.
No other details were provided.
