Boulis killing suspect takes plea deal

James Fiorillo to testify for prosecution

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – One of the men arrested in connection with multimillionaire Konstantino "Gus" Boulis' Feb. 6, 2001, death has flipped and will now be a key witness for the prosecution in the upcoming trial against two of his accomplices.

After meeting with Assistant Broward State Attorney Brian Cavanaugh and his co-counsel, James "Pudgy" Fiorillo has accepted an offer to testify against Anthony "Big Tony" Moscatiello and Anthony "Little Tony" Ferrari.

All three were arrested in September 2005 and charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

"James gave a very detailed statement that lasted about six hours, and after the statement, he was polygraphed on some very key issues," Fiorillo's attorney, H. Dohn Williams told Local 10. "Specifically, 'Did you shoot Gus Boulis?' 'Were you present when Gus Boulis was shot?' And he was truthful."

Williams said his client had nothing to do with the shooting itself.

"That night, he acted as the lookout and communicated to the others that Mr. Boulis had left his office, and then after the fact, he helped dispose of the car and of the murder weapon," Williams said.

In exchange for his testimony, Fiorillo has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder and received a six-year sentence. Since he has already been locked up in the Broward County Jail for six and a half years, he has been credited for time served and released, placed on probation for 10 years.
