Candlelight vigil planned for shooting victim

Errold Peart shot, killed

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – A candlelight vigil is planned for a man who was shot and killed while trying to stop a robbery near his car washing business in Miami Gardens.

The vigil for Errold Peart will be held at his car washing business, Errold Carwash and Detailing, at U.S. 441 and NW 191th Street at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said Peart, 59, tried stopping two teens from robbing a man on Sunday evening. As the teens ran away, one fired a shot, hitting Peart in the head.

Police believe the two shooters left the area in a four-door, grey Nissan.
