Coast Guard medically evacuates boater suffering from seizures

MIAMI – Crew members from Coast Guard Station Key West medically evacuated a 31-year-old woman aboard a 63-foot vessel 35 nautical miles northwest of Key West on Saturday.

Watch-standers said they received a report at 4:18 p.m. from the motor vessel, Pleiades, of a woman aboard experiencing seizures every 15 minutes.

A Station Key West small boat crew arrived on scene, embarked the woman and transported her to Station Key West where emergency medical services awaited.
