FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A man has been accused of sexually touching a 16-year-old girl with an educational delay, authorities say.

Tryone Dalton, 53, was arrested Tuesday at his home and charged with sexual performance by a child.

Fort Lauderdale police said the incident happened on Feb. 26 at Dalton's residence, 832 NW 10th Avenue.

Investigators said a witness and the victim described how Dalton touched the victim on with the intent to arouse either party.

Both the victim and witness said they know Dalton in their neighborhood apartment complex as "Mr. T."

Dalton was able to lure the two inside his apartment while they were walking to the bus stop at 8 a.m., investigators said.

Police said Dalton was standing outside and told the witness that he needed grease and a brush for his hair, and to come inside his apartment to get it. Once inside, the victim went to the kitchen and Dalton followed. That's when Dalton walked up to the victim and smelled her neck, police said. The victim said he picked up perfume and sprayed it on her neck, telling her, "You got to smell beautiful for me because I have a crush on you."

The victim said she tried to get up and leave at that time but Dalton wouldn't let her leave, authorities said.

The victim told authorities Dalton grabbed her and started to kiss her face, police said. The victim said she continued to attempt to leave.

Dalton is accused of physically restraining the victim as she tried to leave, holding her, and touching her.

The victim said she was physically struggling with Dalton while he continued to touch her, authorities said.

According to police, the witness reported hearing the victim scream his name. Police said he went to see what was wrong, and saw Dalton touching and rubbing the victim in a sexual manner.

Police said the witness told them the young woman was visibly upset and crying.
