One person is clinging to life and three others are dead after a chain reaction wreck sent an SUV flying off Interstate 95 and into a murky lake.
The survivor was hospitalized after the victims were pulled from a lake Wednesday night following the crash.
"It was something that I never saw my whole life, very horrible," said witness Adriano Nunez.
On Thursday morning, divers pulled a body of a 15-year-old girl, the fourth victim of the crash, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
"When we notified the family of the people that had passed away, that they told us there was possibly a fourth person in the vehicle that had been picked up from the Boca mall," said FHP Sgt. Mark Wysocky.
Police say Guivens Daverman, 16, and Nadege Theodore, 37, and Theodore's 15-year-old daughter died in the crash. Sandalie Jean-Baptiste, 20, is hospitalized in critical condition.
The crash happened between Hillsboro Boulevard and SW 10th Street in Deerfield Beach.
Police say the group of relatives was headed home from the Boca Town Center when their Lexus SUV collided with two cars, spun off the highway, through a fence and into a lake – trapping the four people inside.
Nunez told Local 10's Ross Palombo he was with one of the drivers involved in the accident after the collision.
"He is very sad... very sad," said Nunez.
The three women and one man were rescued by Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue and taken to Broward Health North in Pompano Beach.
A friend of the victim was in shock to hear the news.
"I was shocked and I mean I know [I look] really calm, but I’m really shocked,” Naveen Chaudhary said. “She is really nice playful person -- she cares about everybody.”
"It's tragic anytime something like this happens," said Wysocky.
The drivers of the other vehicles involved weren't injured. FHP continues to investigates what led up to the crash.
