As the intrepid reporter he is, Ben snapped a couple of photos of the primates.

Not one to miss any details in his story, he reported that one of them was actually eating a banana. Seriously.

We have reported on monkeys living in the Dania Beach area near Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood Int'l Airport in the past, but they have not been seen in several years.

Until today.

As one person who had stayed at the Motel in the past wrote in an online review: "The good part about the place is that you can go to the back of the parking lot and often see a family of monkeys - For decades, dozens of green monkeys have lived on a 19-acre thicket just past the Motel about a mile from the Atlantic Ocean."
