Police say 29-year-old Corey Graham was coming out of his car with his girlfriend when someone pulled up in front of their home and began shooting.

Local 10's Carlos Suarez spoke to the victim's mother, Barbara Graham, who said she heard the gunshots this morning, but didn't find out her son had been shot until his girlfriend called and delivered the news. His girlfriend was also injured in the shooting.

Graham said she thinks the two were at a Super Bowl party, but doesn't know why anyone would target him.

"He's my baby, he's my child and they killed him," Barbara Graham said. "They shot him down like he was nothing. That's all I know."

Corey Graham was pronounced dead at Jackson Memorial Hospital. His girlfriend is being treated there.

His mother says he was a father of four, one of his children is just 6 months old.
