LAUDERHILL, Fla. – A man who was shot in the chest in the parking lot of his apartment complex called his wife for help, say police.
The shooting happened at the Royal Palm Apartments off NW 56th in Lauderhill early Wednesday.

Neighbors said they heard several shots before the gunman ran off.
"It sounded like 'Pow, pow, pow.' They seem like a very nice family," said Willie Benjamin.
The victim's name was not immediately released. He is listed in critical condition.
