New Details Emerge Year After Woman's Disappearance

2 Men Remain Suspects In Lynda Meier Case

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – A year after Hallandale Beach resident Lynda Meier disappeared, police said Thursday that Dallas King and Antwan Kennedy remain the main suspects in her disappearance.

Hallandale Beach police released some new specifics in the case Thursday. Police confirmed that on June 4, 2010, the morning Meier was last seen, King was in possession of her credit cards and gave them to two women, who investigators said were caught using them in a Miami Walmart store.

King told police the credit cards were given to them by Kennedy, who has been romantically linked to Meier.

Kennedy told Local 10 he did have a conversation with Meier the morning she disappeared, but he said he has no idea where she is or what happened to her.

Police said they do not believe Meier is alive, but they have not found her body.

Meier was last seen leaving her apartment early that morning. Surveillance cameras at an ATM showed her as she withdrew a large amount of cash.

Meier's Cadillac Escalade was found abandoned in Opa-Locka a week after she was last seen, but police refused to say what evidence was found inside.

King is now serving a life sentence for violating his probation after committing an armed robbery, police said. Kennedy has told Local 10 he is innocent and has no idea what happened to Meier.
