Police: female worker pistol-whipped during gas station robbery

Suspects left seen in dark colored Ford F-150 pickup truck

MIRAMAR, Fla. ā€“ Miramar Police say a woman was pistol whipped during an armed robbery at the gas station where she works early Saturday morning.

According to police, the thieves arrived at the Mobil Gas Station and 7-Eleven store at 11500 Pembroke Road in a dark colored Ford F-150 pickup truck before 2:30 a.m. They showed two employees a handgun and a shotgun as they demanded money from them and pistol-whipped a female worker. Police say her injuries are non-life threatening.

The suspects took an unknown amount of money from the registers and from the employees' wallets before leaving the scene. They also stole cigarette cartons.

Police say much of the attack was caught on surveillance video, but all of the suspects were wearing facial masks.
